Sorry i hate to admit this, but mariah getting ahead of madonna is important to me because i just hate it that after all the things mariah has accomplished she still or most of the time does not receive the same amount of respect or BULLSHIT hype madonna receives. the world pictures madonna as the queen of so and so but really she is nothing but an overrated lola.

sometimes, you just have to play their games to hurt them where it hurts them the most to remind them of the things they should be reminded of.

but if TMB reaches only #2, that is so depressing. just like with SIO. oh my, if that song grabbed the #1 spot then, just imagine, we are on to the 19th #1. that song so deserved to be #1.

so i hope for the best for TMB. i hope it reaches #1 in Hot 100.

Don't worry, Mariah has #1 locked just waiting for her at the end of the week.

There is no way for Justin to surpass her. Her lead is big enough to hold them back. Plus, Mariah's airplay has been skyrocketing for the past few days. At best she can get 4 weeks at #1, at worst 1 or 2.

I don't know about 4 weeks, but I agree with the rest

You know Liron, nowadays Loverboy is one of my favourite up-tempo songs! I dissed it so much and now... it rocks my socks (I blasted it today on my car, yeah! - my MC Gold playlist rocks )! The only thing I'm sorry about CLG's #2 peak is the lack of attention the song gets. I mean, Emotions is always mentioned as Mariah's 5th single and then they move on to I'll Be There (and the rest is history). Had CLG been #1, things would have been different.

But hey, if all the the Mariah songs that I truly adore had been #1, she would have beaten The Beatles long time ago

Back to TMB... I really enjoy this song, this is really classic Mariah. Like That Chic, I knew I would love it (I was one of the few people that loved Ne-Yo's Because Of You and I'm totally addicted to the Off The Wall kind of beat, you know?). This era's been CRAZY!

love the positivity, but its only thursday. when its sunday or monday, and mariah has stayed number one, then i will be happy/satisfied/confident/cocky, but until then, after the sio, i want to remain optimistic, but cautious

This is sooooooo obvious Madonnas song is just selling cause it cares the "feat. Justin Timberlake" ... I reember when Mariah went #1 with Thank God I Found You and everybody was like "oh she needs them to be #1" But now that Madonna is close to #1 on iTunes everybody forgets that it is cause Justin and Timbaland are selling the song. Madonna is just featuring. I like Madonna, but lets just be honest. I wanted to see how Madonna would do if 4 minutes was just a Madonna song.

The fact that Mariah's now at number one on Real play ahead of Vadge

is GREAT..I mean she is selling bucketloads more in the number one outlet and has sold more for the week so far at Real Play...I'm sure she will get to at least number two on Amazon by the end of the week...and her airplay is increasing much more this week than Madonna's..and all of this said, she could actually AFFORD to sell much less than Madonna and still be number one...now that it's number on Real I have no more worries....If Madonna actually had a REAL shot she would be out promoting this at the radio...the fact that she sin't and mariah is just shows that she knows the race is lost so why humiliate herself...

THIS IS SOOOOOOOOO GREAT...Mariah breaking Elvis number and being number one AND just one spot ahead of Vadge, her arch nemesis...it's like too much Candy at once,,I'm getting diabetes...

now tmb is no.1 on real music

is real music also a 'building' chart?
meaning is TMB the biggest selling single on digital downloads this week (so far) on both itunes & real music?
I read she's #6 on amazon, which is great! any news about wal-mart?

In Madonna's defense, "Hung Up" was a huge download hit, and "4 Minutes" is doing better in airplay in it's second week than "Hung Up" had at it's peak.

In hunguponu's defense, you should be comparing Hung Up's downlads to 4 Minutes' downloads: I'm quite positive 4Minutes will sell more than Hung Up , so if 4 Minutes didn't feature Justin Timberlake, we would be celebrating

Well sorry but it doesnt work like that. Madonna will promote both, album and song, very soon. Execs from Warner arent stupids. They know what they´re doing. Madonna has a pocket show scheduled next month on NY and her promo tour will start shortly. there is a marketing plan for Madonna's project, she is more a marketing professional than a singer . There isnt a video out yet, there isnt any promo. What bothers me is that I really think that, Justin and Timbalan will be the ones that will promote this project in the end.

I am comparing them. I'm saying if "Hung Up" could go to #1 in downloads and hang around for months and sell hundreds of thousands of singles, I don't see how people can say the only reason Madonna is selling anything is because of Justin Timberlake other than that a lot of Mariah fans just like to make +%*$ up to make Madonna look bad.
