I sure hope "Bye Bye" is better than There For Me and Lead The Way.

LOL...I liked Lead The Way. It just wasn't single material, but a very enjoyable album track.

Everytime Bye Bye is mentioned i picture NSync in my head. That and a little baby waving its hand and cooing "bye bye" in a cute little baby voice

Agreed. If 'Bye Bye' is better than 'Lead The Way', that would be very impressive.

I've heard that is in fact similar to OSD, however, they did not specify musically, or lyrically.

thematically, I think.

Definitely. That one review (from the U.K.) called it a "torchsong for people 'who lost their grandmothers'," so yeah, I also think it's thematically similar to OSD.

I know MB gets a ton of hate, but I cant imagine anyone in their right mind hating it because of it's vocals. And I do agree with Mike when he says MB's production was popular for its time. Just like in 15 years, people will be looking back on TEOM and likely E=MC2 saying how it's dated, and cheesy in comparison to whatever is "hot" at the moment. ::rolls eyes::
That's interesting because many have said 'TEOM' is sort of like a 2005 'Music Box'- both big blockbuster albums that are very calculated and designed to ensure success after previous disappointing/flop releases. Both are also very dated and lyrically don't say much. I actually think 'E=MC2' could be like 'Daydream'- more of the same of the previous album, with perhaps a little more artistic variety.

I hope you're right. That means there will be a 'Butterfly' after it. image

That's true, much as I love it, we certainly don't want another 'Rainbow' and then a breakdown! However, given that by the album after 'E=MC2', Mariah will be a bit older and had (hopefully) a great deal of commercial success with both her previous 2 albums, I don't think a 'Butterfly'-like album is that out of the question.

LOL. Maybe he doesn't want another album he has to defend endlessly? I don't know if I'd be up for another Charmbracelet either!
