I guess I had never paid attention to the lyrics:
Quote:
A few stolen moments is all that we share
You've got your family, and they need you there

Though I've tried to resist, being last on your list
But no other man's gonna do
So I'm saving all my love for you

It's not very easy, living all alone
My friends try and tell me, find a man of my own
But each time I try, I just break down and cry
Cause I'd rather be home feeling blue
So I'm saving all my love for you

You used to tell me we'd run away together
Love gives you the right to be free
You said be patient, just wait a little longer
But that's just an old fantasy

I've got to get ready, just a few minutes more
Gonna get that old feeling when you walk through that door
Cause tonight is the night, for feeling alright
We'll be making love the whole night through
So I'm saving all my love
Yes I'm saving all my love
Yes I'm saving all my love for you

No other woman, is gonna love you more
Cause tonight is the night, that I'm feeling alright
We'll be making love the whole night through
So I'm saving all my love
Yeah I'm saving all my lovin
Yes I'm saving all my love for you

I'm surprised Clive let her sing a song like that for her debut album.

hmmm never thought of the song like that.....

I suppose it could be....:\ I wish that was STILL the least of our worries when it comes to Whitney :(

Be sure to catch Sarah Michelle Gellar's upcoming movies:

Happily Never After (Jan 2007), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (March 2007), The Air I Breathe (May 2007), Suburban Girl (June 2007), Southland Tales (Summer 2007), Alice (Fall 2007), Addicted (Fall 2007)

Wow....you just figuring that out?

I knew that it was about adultery when I first saw the video. I thought it was kinda obvious even back then.

I've never seen the video

or don't remember it if I have. I should go to youtube!

I am just still shocked Clive allowed it since they marketed her so sweet and all.

Um, yeah. Isn't that obvious?

I don't think you need to see the video either (I've never seen it). The lyrics speak for themselves, really.

The point being

Clive tried to market her that way, especially early in her career. She was a "pop princess" back then, just as Mariah was marketed early on.

Yeah, I had never really paid attention to

the lyrics (which is odd for me) until hearing someone do it on AI the other night. I had always thought about it being about waiting to have sex with someone :lol
