2015 I feel will be a great year for Mariah! So far I have read the following rumors of what could come in this new year. What have you read/ heard? What do you hope for this year for Mariah?

First up: Confirmed Jamaica Jazz Fest.

-European Leg of Tour in May?

-Vegas Residency to replace Celine

-Greatest Hits album w/ 3 new songs to celebrate 25 years.

-Christmas residency in NYC again!

On personal note I hope that with the impending divorce will go smoothly for Mariah and the children as it is never easy for anyone. I hope she can be truly happy and fullfilled both personally and professionally this year.

I hope she could shake things up for her performance at the Jazz festival. Not another typical Mariah performance, but a more boldly, organic, serene one. She could change a bit the arrangements for "Hero" and "We Belong Together", and it's a perfect opportunity for her to sing "The Wind"! She should also do a cover or two, like "Lullaby of Birdland" ("Don't Explain" didn't suit her in my opinion).

I read about replacing Celine at Vega, but there were also rumors about residency in Connecticut or Atlantic City.

And I remember reading an interview with Mariah where she'd mention she would like to get back to the big screen, so maybe another movie this year?

Id like for her in jamaica to sing a reggea version of one of her song by changing the arrangement. This or for the first time replace shake it off with Cruise Control since Shes Singing in jamaican at some point in the song Plus she could sing it live with the real Damien Marley Thatd be funny and actually bring alot of attention.

My hopes for her this year are simple -

- A new label deal. Be it somewhere else in Universal or another major that can guide her as a proper R&B/pop star.

- A new album by close of year. It'll be tight to roll it out but deliver a lighter follow up to MIAM in the vein of, say, Rainbow - so a mix of deep tracks charting the current mood in her life filled with some utterly disposable R&B/pop tunes. Keep the diversity seen in MIAM in sound, solid songwriting and melodies.

- Said album to be a solid/respectable R&B hit commercially.

- Total overhaul in her team so her brand and campaigns are delivered professionally, to industry standard and with innovative, on trend ideas.

- Refocusing on her performances which have taken a public beating the previous year. If that means going to a stage school teacher, then so be it. She needs to polish up her confidence, stage presence and overall focus when on a stage so it enhances her performing and combats the nerves.

- No touring. Focus on restoring the Mariah Carey brand from the ground up after the disasters of last year.

Beyond filling up her own pocket (main reason for touring), I see no point in risking having a flop tour off a flop album in places like America and Europe which can be very fickle towards Mariah and her image has been horrendously trashed by those areas excessive media coverage. She's taken enough kicks in every department of late. She is better off coming off the radar for a bit, avoiding anymore immediate failures to taint public opinion, pumping out another album, which can perform better than MIAM (not a difficult task) and restoring her image through a structured and strategic worldwide campaign and then selling more seats on a later tour.

It will pay off far better. What will put bums on seats, even if your image is in the toilet, are successful albums and hits. We've seen that with TAOM tour.

Last year was a crash of disasters she is better wiping away. Its 2015, start totally afresh. Leave all the bad sh!t of 2014 back there.

If she tours the US and Europe sounding like she did in Australia and the Christmas shows I think it'll do nothing but great things for her. She could start the tour in June, drop a new single, and call it a 25th Anniversary tour... starting in her hometown and returning there at the end of the year for the Christmas shows. While on tour she can promote the single and release another album or GH set with a few new songs in the fall. To do that, she'd need to be in the studio now until June, though

Alas, the realist in me agrees. I understand of course as well if she wants a break. It can't have been a pleasant 2014 for her. Maybe just some downtime now with her kids and adjusting to her new life is what she wants/needs. I get that.

I would love for her to work with Ryan Tedder, Max Martin. Noah "40" and Dallas Austin. I would love a pop/rock contemporary album from her in the vein of a more mature and trendy sound. If she wants to continue the R&B route, she needs to get more mainstream rappers like Drake. A Fabulous Ft in 2015-16 aint gonna cut it. She almost had the sound I'm rooting for in "Almost Home" the production was wonderful.

Seriously you cant say a flop tour cause she went to asia and australia and all shows sold really Well Maybe not all sold out but really Well and the reason of continuing the tour would not be to fill up her pocket she doesnt need our money Shes full already but to make herself more appealing its been since 2010 she didnt do a tour and a world tour her latest Was charmbracelet so its been a long time since people over London or even France and everything saw her for the last time.Im sure people would be interested if the promotion is Well donc and i know that I am interested in seeing her in Montreal. Also i think the tour would keep her praticing her confidence ans her voice would become more strong er by the fact she would be praticing nearly each day.And during the tour she could record her Best album ever and retour for the summer with a bang in New single with a new record compact thats gonna promote the $@#% out of her.

To keep an edge on her legacy she needs to make great music before she goes on tour^ shes no Madonna, nor does she want to be up against her when she tours later this year. The critics will tear her up. Her best bet is a solid team behind her that will get her music heard. With a successful era. Something madonna hasn't done since confessions and that was outside the U.S. Mariah is the only diva with her tenure that has the capability of topping the charts in the U.S. She just needs a good team. Now that her producer and base player are no longer managing her career and it looks like she sat her A$$ down and is taking the back seat on a few things, she may be able to pump out one more amazing era.

I agree that she should prioritize a new album over a tour, a tour would probably flop right now. Ideally, *if* she feels up to it, we'd have a new album era by the end of this year. A somewhat successful era can then lead to a successful tour.

I desperately want her to work with J. Cole - production, writing and as a featured artist. His production would be soooo perfect for her mid tempo R&B/hip-hop songs.

It took almost 5 years to get Chanteuse, I'd love an album this year but she hasn't shown any indication that she's been in the studio so I doubt a 2015 release is possible. I am curious to see if there will be any 25 year celebration. A surprise gig at a small club in NYC where she sings the entire first album would be so awesome...but never happen. I just hope she's happy and healthy and comes up with fun ideas for songs that she completes next year.

This year also marks Mariah being eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! However, those snobs have snubbed icons like Whitney while inducting nonsense like The Ronettes, so I don't have high hopes for Mariah..

That's right! Yeah, wouldn't hold my breath either. Hall of Fames in all avenues, whether it be in music or in sports, are as notable for their politics as they are for their inductions.

2015: New Mariah Era

I'd be interested in a Universal GH set if there's new songs attached to it or reworked back catalogue or something. I've been thinking and saying to friends for years; if she doesn't like songs like Someday, Prisoner, Hero (the production) etc then rerecord or rearrange them in a way she does like. It'd never happen but it would be s great little surprise.

I too want a new label deal (come on Sony!!) and new album or at least news that a new album is being worked on.

So basically, you want a tour for personal reasons that suit you not because its overly good for her career. Do you honestly think the tour will do well in places after all the negative press she's received for her live performances last year? A few happy lambs means nothing big picture when her brand has been so badly damaged. Her credibility as a live performer and vocalist has been well and truly shat on now and you want that moment to gamble adding more dates?
