'Take It Back' sounds soooo much like Sade's 'By Your Side' and I LOVE that song. smiley: happy

Favourites so far:

Roller Coaster - They should have kept this as the single and not WDWGW, imo.
Sweat - The chorus is fire!
Hurt You
I Wish – spiteful Toni
Take It Back
Heart Attack – love this uptempo bop

10."Heart Attack"  Toni Braxton, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds & Daryl Simmons 3:52
11."The D Word"  Toni Braxton & Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds 5:12

Toni was involved in writing quite a lot of the music, and actually with the exception of RC, most of the good tracks on the album. Get that solo writing credit on 'I Wish' gerl! She probably didn't want to use Rollercoaster as the next single because of dem royalties

I can't at her in the Thank Yous in the booklet.

"To my wonderful managers, Craig Baumgarten and Marcus Grant, you guys can finally have those drinks
now. I’m sure I drove you to the bar. Thank you for focusing and protecting me, and making sure I am always
NOT IN THE RED. “YAY!”

TIB and The D Word both sound very Sade "Lovers Rock" era. My favorite tracks so far are: Roller Coaster - next single please! Sweat I Wish- Toni's vocals just make you feel the song Take It Back- reminds me of BYS by Sade - smooth Reunited- single worthy IMO Heart Attack- nice uptempo bop The D word- Toni's lower register alone makes me want to listen Overall, I can tell this album will be in my rotation for a long time!

Y'all have me excited!

I forgot what a Grammys fave Toni was early on. She won R&B Female four times! Mariah and Whitney have only won that twice between them. Toni also won New Artist and Pop Female (she beat Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" that year, a year in which Celine won AOTY). It's interesting that outside of her New Artist win Toni never made it into the general field, though.

^If you like BYS you'll love 'Take It Back', the production is virtually identical. So much so they might get into trouble if Shaw-day is feeling particularly Shay-dey

Re: Toni Braxton - 'Love, Marriage & Divorce' Due Dec 3 - Lead Single 'Hurt You'

About two thirds through the initial listen but just wanted to say I am really liking the production on this album so far -- it definitely feels like a throwback, but a good one! Very cohesive along the album too.
