I like how they did a two-part storyline with ILT and WBT, and in hindsight it's one of her better videos since 2000, but she looks bad in most of the shots(she only looks great in the scenes in the hotel room with the white/sparkly dress imo). The styling is pretty bad.

Yeahh I agree, I love the shots with her in the white Moroccan looking dress/shirt. I love the way she looks and how she sings along to the song. I like how her hair looks too. I also agree that other shots aren't really that great (the wedding dress shots and the hairstyling for that look awful). But i really love the video regardless. It's such an awesome song

To me this video is good because of it's connection to ILT video. I thought it was very smartly played out. The videos actually have a story. This is what I believe has been missing from her videos lately, story. Plus because there is a story there is more people in the video besides Mariah. I think the videos where there is only Mariah rely too much on posing in awkward positions.

The two part story thing was cute (very Ice Cube, "Today Was A Good Day" / "Check Yo Self"), but it isn't really anything special either. It does give you at least give you something to make it more involving (especially if you know the Tommy stuff) but I wish they went with something a little less generic or harder hitting.

Yeah, with the exception of the hotel scenes, her stylings where pretty off for most of the video. Honestly, I always thought this song deserved a better video.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It’s About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

Wentworth Miller, the star of Prison Break, came out today. It was predicted in 2005 when he played Mariah Carey’s love interest in the “We Belong Together” music video (if you watch it backward). posted on August 21, 2013 at 7:17pm EDT

If you watch Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” music video backward, it’s about Wentworth Miller getting out of the car with his fiancé…

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

…and running to a wedding.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

And it’s not even his wedding. It’s the wedding of a lonely man who’s standing wishing and waiting for a beautiful bride.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

So Wentworth gives her away.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

And she’s not entirely OK with it, but Wentworth knows it’s the right thing to do.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

Because he’s actually a gay man and he doesn’t want to marry a woman anyways.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

And then Mariah Carey’s sad she can’t have him.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

The end.

If You Watch This Mariah Carey Video Backward, It's About Wentworth Miller Coming Out

I agree with all of this.

x2. The worst shot was her in the purple with the frizzy hair and that's the shot most used by TV shows and things.

We Belong Together music video appreication thread

I like how Mariah blinks to the beat at the beginning of the video, and I like when my husband Wentworth Miller shows up.

The comments on YouTube under the official Vevo video are enough to make your stomach turn. I know I probably shouldn't even bring up the negativity but it's so bad I almost wish she'd take the damn video down completely =/

Get over yourself. eyes.gif
And what's your reason for that ridiculously inappropriate comment?

I'm not exactly sure why I need to get over myself.  That doesn't even make sense.  But just to clarify, my comment was strictly referring to how despicable the comments on the YouTube video are because of Wentworth Miller's coming out.  For example:

1. oooooohhh you called me a "faggit" what ever that is. I'll call your mama and make sure I bang her real good tonight. i'll send you a pic later.

2. Ha you a +@@ too, your mum must be proud

3. You shouldn't expect me to know that. Anyway, i'm going to have to meet my gf and bang her, I don't expect you to know and how good the p*ssy feels, gayboy lol

4. In other words, you're going to jack off in your dirty room. Take your stupid ass to bed and save yourself some embarrassment, dingbat.

5. Stop right there and kill yourself. That's all - you faggit

6. LOL! Animals display homosexual behavior, they choose to be gay too. Its simple uneducated @@!+.

7. I'm not homophobic... not scared of this sick freak of nature lol... anti-homo... disgrace. He shouldn't come out of the closet, now he lost my respect.

And I could go on and on and on.

It's disgusting.  HOW does that means I need to get over MYSELF?  I'm going to say this once.  There are people on this message board, hiding behind their computer, who completely bash fellow "lambs" quite frankly because they think they are better than them.  If you disagree with a comment, rebuttal with an intelligent constructive argument.  The bullying, insulting and overall hate on here to other posters, to me, is just as disgraceful as the comments above.  I have been the target of unfounded insults on numerous occasions, and I'm not the only one.  Those people know who they are and should honestly be ashamed to call themselves lambs.

NOW you may tell me to get over myself.  But I will stand by my statement.

But then there you are sitting there getting upset about Cory's statement, which honestly I think was just that: A statement/observation. Unless I missed something here? I think telling him to get over himself is a tad bit harsh/uncalled for, no?

Anyway, for what it's worth, the comments are very vile. Sadly I think that's come to be expected of any place people are allowed to comment on stuff. I read most of my news online and I have to make sure I leave the page at the end of the article and not advance to the comments. People are messed up.
