I love Fleetwood Mac. You heard "Silver Springs" before, particularly the live version?

I'm digging the first half of Gwen's new album.

I'm only familiar with the Rumors album. But I did download Fleetwood Mac's GH set, I just haven't been able to listen to it in its entirety yet.

I love that Britney song. Her vocal is pretty/vulnerable, and the melody of the song is really nice. It actually reminds me of a Mariah song.

The Prince songs I've really discovered (or in a few cases just found more appreciation for) these past 2 weeks are:
How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore (I think the inferior Alicia Keys version made me look past the brilliance of Prince's version smiley: laugh)
Girls & Boys (so funky!)
Sometimes It Snows In April (I've always loved it, but it has even more meaning now smiley: frown)

^ Everybody has compared Britney's "Everytime" to Janet's omonymous song. I can see the similarities actually (including the music video) but yeah her vocal is more vulnerable in a Mariah way.

And I love the fact that she co-wrote it.

Huh? They had more than that. At first I thought you meant the original line-up, but the original line-up really only had 2 albums. Including all line-ups they had 5 albums (plus an EP and a Christmas album), if I'm not mistaken.

Aren't their studio albums with the original line up Born To Sing, Funky Divas and EV3?

I know Dawn left before the release of EV3, but her vocals were on some of the songs including "Don't Let Go (Love)." I didn't know they kept recording after they became a trio actually.

"Don't Let Go" was recorded for the Set if Off soundtrack and was on EV3 because of its success; so it wasn't that Dawn really recorded it for the album. They re-recorded a lot of her lead parts, and ultimately I think Dawn is on EV3 as much as Left Eye was on 3D, so count that how you want (though Dawn was always more integral to the vocals of EV songs than Lisa was to TLC songs). I haven't listened to EV3 in years (though I do love "Whatever"), so I am not completely sure. I don't consider it a full album of the original line-up.

^ It was a big country hit, but, yeah, it's not really country in any meaningful way. To me it comes across as imitation pop (filtered through 90s R&B if Drake had made it) that couldn't make it on Top 40 so he went to country. But then "country music" these days is not very country, especially when it comes to male artists.

90s R&B? I don't really hear that..

This sounds like a song that's perfect for Hot AC radio (like Train, early OneRepublic, etc.). Then again, a lot of Country songs are these days. I also like "Break-up in a Small Town," it's cute.
