J.Lo is planning to release a new album, possibly this year. Early sessions for the record were done with Afrojack, RedOne, Dr. Luke, Ryan Tedder and Chantal Kreviazuk.

Lately though she's hinted at a comeback of her Urban side and she's hit the studio with Future and Sean Paul and also her past collaborator Cory Rooney.

Yeah, most likely. Still it's bound to have a couple of jams to bop to (like all of her albums), especially if she's going more Urban.

I hate Future, he sounds a hot mess.com despite being drenched in autotune but he can lay down a good beat in the studio.

I always enjoy at least the singles on a J Lo album. I agrre, I prefer her her more urban stuff also. i really like her first three albums and a lot of her remixes. I'm almost certain the new album will be a guaranteed flop though. Lol.

FSG is my favorite J.Lo song, probably because it sounds like a Janet song.

Feelin So Good is the best song she's ever tacked her name onto.

But let's be real, she's going to have a Pitbull feature as her first single. Might as well do a joint album.

100% agreed!  I'm sure I'll be jamming to a few of the faster songs/singles.

Why, because this flop is working with some urban producers? smiley: laugh

She's definitely built a lot of goodwill between Idol, red carpet appearances and tour. It's interesting to see how this plays out.

She had a lot more going for her with 'Love?'; she was on AI, had a big hit, and the album still scanned less than 400k. Nobody cares.

Because trendsetters hasbeens like Britney and J.Lo are trying it?
Regardless of her relevancy, Britney's producers are often far ahead of the curve- the dance and dubstep sounds on Femme Fetale, for example, prefaced what would become popular later in 2011. J Lo's background has always (mostly) been in urban, so it's not surprising she's going back there.
