She's asking fans on Twitter for suggestions what to perform, putting together a setlist. LOL.

You're both right.. of course she has to do the big hits.. and the ones that she feels comfortable performing. I have a feeling the NFL and random people would be pretty pissed if she was like "Hello Everybody!!! I'm Mariah Carey and I'm only telling you this because I'm about to perform songs you've never heard before" as she goes into a sensational rendition of "Last Kiss". (I'm sorry, that just totally happened in my head)

With that, I don't think MC is ever misleading fans on purpose, and maybe she's undecided on 1-2 songs, or maybe she is trying to choose between a few songs, so she's trying to see what the fans think, and it may or may not mean she'll choose to listen to them, but I just think if the setlist was already set in stone and she had no intentions of changing it, she wouldn't have made that tweet. #personalopinion

I don't think the set list is set in stone either. I was just joking, playing off the idea that she typically sings the same thing.

Do we know how many songs she's gonna sing? I'm assuming the whole set won't air on NBC.

I know, and I was agreeing with you I also think the usual suspects will be there.
I think NBC will only air "Triumphant" at 730pm, and MC's set starts at 7pm, hence the "be there at 7" tweet. so 30 minutes, take 10 off to do touchups and get ready for live airing, that leaves us with 20 minutes. 4-5 songs? that's assuming she gets on stage at 7 sharp... smiley: pimp

I would love the following setlist / show:

OPENER: Fantasy Remix Drums (the beginng: alarm, alarm )
--- all lights turn off ---

Mariah appearing in the middle of the stage. Doing an A+mazing highnote
--- all lights turn on with special effects of course ---

Triumphant (Vintage Remix) going to My All (Dance Remix)
--- Mariah going off stage / Dance Break / Background singing "GET EM!! GO GO! TRIUMPHANT...bla bla blup " ---

Mariah appearing in the middle of the audience (like when she received the Billboard Artist of the Decade Award) with Heartbreaker

Going downstairs to another platform ("stage") ending Heartbreaker with a BOOOM (thunder whatever):

Than ending the set with "Vision of love" at the micstand and reminding everyone why she IS the voice!

Okay, you can call me a hater or whatever...but I love my girl....BUT I think that she needs just special performances everyone remembers!

Maybe you'll like my idea

I would LOVE for her to sing Vision of Love. I had no idea she was doing multiple songs as well.

I wonder if she will cancel this due to Chris Lighty's death since the funeral will probably be around the same day and it will be hard for her to act happy while singing.

Why tweet asking her to sing a song we KNOW she hates? VOL seems the obvious choice to me, it just fits that big stadium audience vibe.

I'd rather hear ABMB for the 17482647th time than Obsessed. She slays ABMB.

I (and Nick lol) will never give up until she sings "Someday" again!

I actually think it fits that big stadium vibe better than VOL (not saying that VOL doesn't - I hope she does VOL, by the way). I can totally see the crowd getting pumped to "Someday"! Same with a song like "Emotions". And it's songs like that, IMO, that would appeal to all ages in the audience. A track like "Shake It Off" or "Obsessed" doesn't sound like something that could have broad appeal or get the crowd going.
