I'll just throw it in the air that if she does VOL..I will be the happiest fan ALIVE
And also those middle aged pot bellied men in the audience, they might sit up and take notice
I also hope she doesn't do SIO, TMB or OBSESSED. I guess one of them will make it to the show. Or ALL :S

Logistically speaking, I doubt that's how it would happen anyway. If anything, she'd come out upon the beginning of the first chorus and ad-lib over the second verse. I doubt she would come out at the very beginning and stand there like a lump until the first chrous, which, btw, is at 00:38, not 2:30. smiley: smile

You want her to do a mega campy dance remix to a bunch of masculine beer drinking NFL fans waiting for the game? If your looking to sell the single to that audience, you'll need to go for the urban version. This is basic marketing strategy. Its not like how the Superbowl audience works.

This is Mariah Carey we're talking about. To football watchers, she's already campy and corny. I don't object to her doing a mix of both versions. Her video streams are NOT good enough to carry this song. I think they should take advantage to at least promote the remixes too.

She's performing for the straight guys to oogle and for their girlfriends and wives to listen and enjoy. The men could care less what she sings.

But the remixes are getting even less love than the original at radio so why even bother to promote them? Realistically, beyond whats appropriate to perform to that specific audience, she needs to be getting behind the version thats at least getting spins at urban and whats being heard on the airwaves. Even if you dislike the original version, it is ultimately the one thats getting the push.

And they sent the original version to Pop (right?).

Right, because women only watch the NFL when a female singer performs.

Nobody (men or women) cares about the pre-show performers of a regular season game.  The only time it's gets paid attention to is the Superbowl.   It's all about the game.  All we do is watch the NFL channel and ESPN beforehand (for hours!) and then turn it to the game.

Only here to see the Cowboys getting their asses handed to them by the Giants, anyways.  Seeing Tony Romo fail always brightens up my day.

If nobody watched, it wouldn't exist and they wouldn't waste their time having it and paying Mariah.
