She should do one of the tracks from the new album. I think that would get people talking. Maybe a nice song that is perhaps not fit for a single but something to at least get some buzz building. Basically, what 'Triumphant' should have been.

Yeah, lots of people sing live at them and lots of people don't.  I don't think there are any rules either way.

I'm hoping she chooses not to go the DFAU route this time lol

There has a lot of talk on a few different news sites that I read that the ratings are expected to be pretty high for this game as the preseason games have had unusually high ratings this year.

I really hope she does the Vintage Throwback Remix and doesn't lip or atleast pre-records and really makes sure she lips well. If she wants to do the original it might be best to make a medley of them both.

You want her to do a mega campy dance remix to a bunch of masculine beer drinking NFL fans waiting for the game? If your looking to sell the single to that audience, you'll need to go for the urban version. This is basic marketing strategy. Its not like how the Superbowl audience works.

LOL,of course you ar e right but if my memory hopefully serves me wrong, didn't she do Subtle Invitation at G.A.Y?
I really hope I've got that one wrong but it makes you think how it's decided what songs to perform at what venue.

This is Mariah Carey we're talking about. To football watchers, she's already campy and corny. I don't object to her doing a mix of both versions. Her video streams are NOT good enough to carry this song. I think they should take advantage to at least promote the remixes too.

The original is the main single. I expect her to do that version as it is the one getting the airplay, has the video and it would be foolish to do any other version. She better have Meek and Rick with her for the performance though.

But the remixes are getting even less love than the original at radio so why even bother to promote them? Realistically, beyond whats appropriate to perform to that specific audience, she needs to be getting behind the version thats at least getting spins at urban and whats being heard on the airwaves. Even if you dislike the original version, it is ultimately the one thats getting the push.

If the rappers can't participate for any reason, they could be guests on a video screen or something. It wouldn't be great, but at least they could be featured even if they aren't there. I really want her to perform the original version is what I'm saying basically

A Triumphant / Pulse Club Mix medley would be nice.

I don't think she'll ever do a completely new unheard song live again after she did Migrate on SNL, and then complained to Perez because he criticized the song and she said something about how it's gonna sound much better on record.

The remixes have gotten virtually no promotion by the label at all. They just threw them on iTunes and called it a day. And they sent the original version to Pop (right?).

I personally don't feel like any version will appeal to the NFL watchers, but it would be a treat to have a nice megamix like she used to do with "My All."

Wrong.

Actually she sings right from the beginning, "Get Em get Em get Em, hit Em hit Em hit Em..." Plus all her adlibs throughout the rap. That complaint about her not singing much of her own song is completely redundant by now.

Not really, no. In this situation, you need to go with the best choice which would be the Original.
