So basically during the mini-concert she said we are getting a We Belong Together part 2. Well, it'd actually be WBT part 500 at this point.
She did? Oh dear..

hearing her talk about it again, she actually said it's coming 'very soon'. of course, we know Mariah uses the term 'soon' very loosely.

Is she really that out of touch that she actually thinks that's what people want from her? I'm all for doing a kind of music she loves but surely the woman herself must be tired of the midtempo RnB ballad with a beat

I'm not totally against her making these songs (I love HATEU, Love Story, For The Record) but I don't like the idea of them being singles.

^I agree, but with the exception of 'Love Story', those songs were pretty different from the 'WBT' clone formula. When I hear stuff that's "in that vein" I think of 'Angels Cry'. 'FTR' is a great song, I really didn't expect to love it so much when I heard the perfume ad was taken from it, but it's one of my favourites from that album.

Question is WHAT do people really want from Mariah
Why does she still believe they want a romantic love ballad.

True, Angels Cry and I Stay In Love are more like WBT clones, and were singles unfortunately. But I don't even think a song as great as FTR will work in the current music climate.

love songs will never get old, they are timeless. but it can't be a love song that sounds like something she's done many times before.

Guuuuurl, I know! I can't even begin to anticipate her new album if she's really just re-doing her Mimi album again.

One thing we've definitely learned as fans is that Mariah is a stubborn woman. It took her years to 'stop whispering.' It's going to take her forever to stop doing ballads with a beat, with the same production. I mean, I wouldn't mind songs like "H.A.T.E.U." or "For The Record" as album tracks, but not as singles.

^Maybe her lead single flopping for the first time since 'CB' will be enough of an eye opener for her.

Mariah keeps tweeting these announcements of her song going #1 on random (non-existent) charts lol. I honestly want to know what Mariah is thinking when it comes to this song's performance. Maybe the label will try to hold off JD the way LA Reid did during Memoirs.

I don't think of HATEU and For the Record as WBT clones, they are both really fresh and different sounding. I'm glad she released HATEU, even though it flopped it is still an amazing song and hopefully some people got to hear it. Bye Bye and I Stay In Love, now those are cheap knock offs to me.

If she wanted an urban hit, does she really think Triumphant is one, regardless of whether it was  No 1 in Singapore for a week?

No, I mean Mariah isn't stupid. I guess tweeting about chart success - even its on IrrelevantCharts.com - is more positive than focusing on the negatives.

So what are these irrelevants charts you speak of? I only counted ONE chart she tweeted about, and that is the UK Urban chart where the song went #1, a first for her since 2003's "I Know What You Want". Why shouldn't she be happy about it? Because her fans want the song to fail?
