Very happy to see that 'Dreamlover' is in that top 10.

I know she performed it on Today in a recent era, but I wish she'd do this one more too. It's such a fun jam. I know people work out to it too. In terms of shows where she does multiple songs, it should always be a rotation of ABMB, Hero, IBT, Dreamlover, WBT, and Fantasy as the standards. Oh, and VOL too. She can then mix in new songs and fan favorites, but those others are there to remind people of her classics.

Mariah's Signature Song?

BeyondIdolization wrote:
You guys that say that AIWFCIY isn't Mariah's signature song because "people don't think it's her song" are confused. It doesn't matter if people think it's a cover or not, Mariah's AIWFCIY is the one that radio plays each year and that charts worldwide every season, as well as being the most downloaded Christmas song of all time. Clearly people associate it with Mariah. Whitney's IWALY actually is a cover, but it's clearly Whitney's signature song regardless - Whitney's version will always be the definitive version no matter what. Same with AIWFCIY.

Part of what makes a signature song in my opinion is that it transcends the artist.

Not everyone knows that midnight train to georgia is Gladys knight. Or that Respect is Aretha. The songs singular legacy becomes bigger than the artist themselves.

In this way AIWFCIY is certainly a signature if not the signature song of Mariah's.

Mariah's Signature Song?

I wanna just throw my hat in the ring and say that while I get Without You is Mariah's biggest hit in Europe, that song was still humongous in America.
I think it's special that she reserves performing it for Europe as a thank you, but Americans love and definitely associate that song with her.

Huge song.

Apparently Mariah's 10 most-played recurrent tracks (per BDS) from August 28-September 3 were: Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together, Fantasy, I'll Be There, Hero, Emotions, Dreamlover, One Sweet Day, Can't Let Go and Vision of Love.

Look at ABMB being iconic.

Really? I only remember her doing 'Through The Rain', 'Make It Happen' and 'Bringin' on the Heartbreak'. Let me look it up on YT.

I heard ABMB last week in the supermarket too! It made me really happy. I also hear Dreamlover being played by random stations and stores
