She just performed at the Billboard Music Awards. It looked like a nice presentation. I didn't listen the audio though.
OT - Cher also performed and looked triumphant.

It looked and sounded lipped. The verses sounded like a new pre-recorded track, full of melodyne and the final chorus was from an old track.

The staging was nice. Just annoying the Queen of lipping gets away with it again and is heaped with praise while others get scorned.

^Yeah, at least the climax sounded lipped to me. She is good at making it look authentic.

I think Mariah fans are too harsh and too analytical, way more than other fanbases. It is easy for haters to come here or on any other Mariah messageboard and find pages and pages of discussion analyzing each second of any performance

Yeah I've said other times the lambs are Mariah's worst enemy sometimes.

^ It's very true. There's a attitude amongst some fans that if they shame Mariah enough, she'll stop lipping completely. But if she gives a bad live vocal, they kill her even more. So she can't win.

"Lambs" have drawn attention to a lot of stuff that wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't for their major overreaction on social media. Even tweeting blogs to look at Mariah's flubs. It's sick and nasty.

To be fair, one of the reasons that happens is that Mariah is terrible at lipping. If she was able to pull it off like Celine, I think more people would lay off her.

^She also thinks we're stupid interpolating 1993 vocals with 2017 vocals. I think she plays with fire as well with this "some lipped some not" nonsense. Like literally lipping a syllable and then singing one live. It's just asking for malfunctions. Saline seems to either just pre record the whole song or at least just sing half and half.

Mariah does what she does, but that doesn't mean we, as lambs, should give ammunition to these haters out there. Just saying.

^ I don't want to sound like Mariah is innocent in all of this. For years I was imploring her to get a sound team that was professional and didn't result in loads of technical issues at her own shows or otherwise. And in fairness to her, after that Jamaica show in 2015, the sound at her shows has been much improved. The NYE mess was arguably not her fault. But the buck stops with her to make sure she doesn't get caught when she is lipping notes.

The problem I have with fans is that if they love and want to protect Mariah, they shouldn't be the first to call her out on Twitter when she lips a line here or there on a TV show. She's been lipping frequently since 1997 yet some act like its something new. Compared to Celine, Mariah will give you a lot of live vocals at her own shows. Sure, they might be better some nights than others but Celine has been charging her fans for years to watch her lip entire shows. She hasn't been called out or accused of cheating her fans and ripping them off like some Mariah fans do on social media or UKmix, which is read by blogs like That Grape Juice that have often written scathing things about Mariah that later get picked up by more mainstream outlets.

Celine went to the billboard awards a few days ago and I believe lipped 90% of the song. It gets loads of praise and positive media attention. "What a legend" blah blah blah. "Her voice hasn't changed". Total BS because on record now, her voice has gotten very thin, her tone is beyond naselly and she can barely enunciate in English now. Mariah performed at the BBMA's 2 years ago. She was nervous. She sang VOL live and sang along with a backing track for Infinity but she did sing a lot of it live. It wasn't her best TV appearance by a long shot but fans ripped into her and plenty media outlets talked about her vocal decline and the ever tired "she should retire". Mariah went to her Vegas show an hour later and sounded much better.

There's just a double standard, in the media, amongst a lot of fans too. They want to tear her down just because she isn't perfect now. She wasn't perfect back in 05 either but everyone was on her side.
Yes, it's up to Mariah to do things to change the way she's perceived now but the fans can do an awful lot more to help her too by simply shutting up when it comes to certain things.

I think there's a difference between lambs talking about it on here than on a public forum like Twitter. I think it's fair game for us to analyse things on here but if you're deliberately pointing out to people who aren't fans the lipped moments or whatever then I'd question the motivation as a fan.

^ Here is a different kettle of fish. FOMM was private for years so whatever was said here, didn't really get out. I do know that Sam from That Grape Juice used to lurk here and it was from here that they started to report about a few of the lipping flubs during 2013 like ABMB at GMA. I know Celine's lipping is always analysed on the Celine Dion forum.

UKMix is read by so many fans and non fans, blogs etc. that are only looking to report something negative. Twitter has become the main hotbed for this type of thing and the sad part about it, these are "fans", "lambs" that are blowing these things up. They aren't true fans (and i hate to sound like Xtuna ) but they are the fans Mariah is left with on social media.
