When I hear "they make music for the gays" it normally means I probably won't like them
When I say that, I mean, she uses a lot of Baltimore-club music inspired beats. She doesn't release your average rap songs. They usually have a bit of 'club' in them.
She hasn't had a mainstream hit yet, but she's well respected otherwise. If you YouTube her newest song "Van Vogue," you'll get a sense of what type of music she makes.
