Mostly agree, the only huge objection I have is your diss of Side Effects.  I mean, I guess we all have different tastes, but I'd think as a fan, you would at least appreciate the lyrics.

Yeah, I dont get how anyone could hate Side Effects. Awesome song. It blew me away when I first heard it.

Yep, and it still does, that baseline is so insane.

So, the next album will probably be close to this one, full of potential hits.

What makes you think that?

Because they are already planning a new one, the same way Memoirs came soon after E=MC² flopped, Mariah clearly wants hits and Platinum certifications and is 40. Working with only one producer, while resulted on a solid album, didn't result on a diverse production and nothing really fits Pop radio today aside from Obsessed, so I expect her to work with as many hit producers as possible again and release it asap

Maybe...I certainly hope your right on the producers part at least.

Sugarland in Brooklyn played O.O.C. on Saturday and all the cute hipster gays loved it. My snobby friend was like, "what's this? Who is this? It's good."

I think the DJ just made the beat a little bit harder but I admit it sounded VERY good on the dancefloor.

Every single should have been one of the party songs because that was the beginning of the dance/pop song wave, she coulda totally been a huge part of that rise!

Sidenote, this weekend I also heard Circles at Ritz as the closing song, and Shake it Off on the subway coming from a fat black dude's cell phone playlist.

Sorry guys, I just don't enjoy listening to the song! I agree it's got great lyrics, but then again Mariah's said a lot of deep things in interviews. It doesn't help that the song has great lyrics when I can't stand to listen to it.

On the other hand, there's "Last Kiss" which some of you call boring and to me it's the greatest thing that's ever been made that's what's great about having different tastes

But it's really great to see how many people love E=MC2. I think it speaks volume that many of us agree on two things:
1) It had a lot of "hits"/radio friendly songs
2) The songs on it are still good and don't sound dated 2 years after the release.

Those things usually contradict each other so it only emphasizes the quality of the songs on this album

Fair enough, but I think it deserved more than 1 point, if only for the lyrics!
