I've been reading many topics were members complaining about lipping, like me too. I don't like it when she lipped the entire song, but in certain parts it's ok for me, if you cannot hear it. (Normal people won't hear it anyway)

Why making up these lipping things? Is it because she is known as "THE VOICE". Well she is not dancing aroung in her songs, sometimes she doesn't move anywere.

But do you know any artist that don't use lip-sync?

Just a little question......don't be angryimageimageimageimage

I'm thinking about the whole era since she started...

Yeah it's because of the transition from Mariah in the 90s with a superhuman voice, considered one of the best vocalist of ALL TIME, who never really needed to lip anything, to often relying on lipping a song quite often nowadays. It's not the same as some mediocre singer lipping, who could never really sing in the first place. I never really had a problem with her lipping like some people though. It's not great but hey, it is what it is.

Well Mariah is singing Live outsie the U.S alot for the first time in 14 years. So I think she has realised all these lipped performances on youtube have started to hurt her rep as a vocalist. I'm really proud of Mariah right now she is doing everything in her power to make this the best Era she can for us.

I agree. I also think that all the negative press from lipping in Korea probably influenced her decision.

im used to it, but i think shes so worried that if her live performances dont always sound like the album version, people will think she cant sing anymore...but like bobby said, she has done some things this era that she hasnt done since like 1996. at vegas, she actually sang the end parts of honey instead of the same lipped section since it was released.

yes, but when she sings live, especially the previous 2 years when she did sound pretty much disasterous, it hurts her too. Lipping hurst her and singing live when not sounding good can giveher even more @$#!. Whatcha gonna do?

why is this topic being brought up when she hasn't been lipping lately.... she sounds so great live.

Exactly!

People keep bringing this issue up as if singing fully live is gonna solve all the problems of this era! as if her videos will look great, album sales will suddenly rise and her singles will suddenly start to increase in airplay! ? when infact lipping two lines of a song has absolutely nothing to do with it! Infact most normal viewers dont even notice it!
