IMO, the only lackluster one was 20 Y.O. Damita Jo's problem was the lack of single-material. I thought AFY was great, the lyrics were great. Very deep and personal.

My favorite Janet albums:

THE BEST:

1. CONTROL

Really GOOD:

2. Rhythm Nation 1814

Also good:

3. Janet
4. The Velvet Rope

Just good enough:

5. Discipline
6. 20 Y.O.

Only liked the singles:

7. All For You / Damito Jo

'All For You' and 'Damita Jo' were both decent albums imo, just not nearly as good as 'janet.' and 'TVR'. '20 YO' just flat out sucked, and 'Discipline' was slightly better with a few good tracks.

I hope she really brings it this time because this is her last "last chance".

now she's w/out JD. She'll probably do some "touch myself" theme songs.

image Hope not!

It's time she brings some catchy dance songs with great lyrics like back in the days of "Control" and "Rhythm Nation 1814".

I'm sure she'll rock the stage and will create an amazin and gorgoeus album!!!!

Janet's 43 with three consecutive flop albums. This is her last chance.

^ Of course it isn't. There are many artists who release cd's through their own label or even via their website. Some artists may fade into the background of the world's attention. But fans probably don't have to worry as there are enough ways to release new songs nowadays.

Why wasnt Discipline her last chance? Why wasnt 20 YO? Why this one??

Its not her last chance.

Because of the obvious reasons stated above. Stop being delusional. If this new album flops no major label is going to sign her. She'll have to settle for releasing her stuff independently.
