We met one of her trumpet players at school way back in like 2000 and he said he toured with her for like 6 months for her genie in a bottle world tour, and she never came back and shook his hand or introduced herself or got their names ever image I guess mary should be grateful she even looked her way!!

I can remember near the end of 2000 recalling how differantly she was using her voice ('Come On Over' being the obvious example)and not liking it at all. This was obviously her changing her style to the vocals of Stripped, which she has stuck with ever since. It dosent sound natural or healthy for her voice at all.

And I find it really unlikeable on the ear. Honestly, your supposed to enjoy music. Its supposed to be pleasant and melodic. Everytime I listen to Christina it makes my ears bleed, she just dosent sound 'pleasant' musically.

she used to be BEARABLE. I have her KGB(just for nostalgia) & first album(but that's all I am willing to pay for-until she sings in her natural voice if it still exists). I was convinced she was the new MC at the time(boy was I wrong). I remember the stripped tour being cancelled, and it was because she misused her voice, and had to take vocal rest. I like her all the way up to that Infatuation performance in 2002. Everything since has been so contrived. I have heard every English album track she has had to offer, and it seems she's trying to destroy her voice.

Its hard to believe it now, but yes, she once had a very technically competant voice. Listening to her vocals on GIAB and then Stripped onwards is very jarring. Ironically, she wants to sing like that which I dont get. Does she think it makes her sound more raw and real, or whatever pretencious twaddle she'd come up with?

Hip Hop Soul diva Mary J Blige has vowed to NEVER record a song with pop diva Christina
Aguilera because she feels that she is "rude". Recalling their first meeting Mary said that upon
greeting each other Xtina extended her hand to Mary as though she wanted her to kiss it which
was taken as an extreme insult by Blige.

Mary was very candid about her dislike for Christina during a filming of a documentary for British
TV even saying that the 'Dirrty' singer was not going to last in the business because she doesn't
know how to treat people and that Britney will be the one to go the farthest. After having had time
to consider the impact of her statements, Mary tried to have her comments on Xtina taken out of
the documentary but they were included regardless. Here is a excerpt form the interview.

There was video/audio of her saying this but I think Mary's people had them all since removed. There used to be a transcript but I can't find it anywhere, this was from around 2005 I think.

Wasn't that a short time before or after Mariah said she was praying for her? I remember thinking she got two strikes in such a short period of time

Check this performance out. It's one of my favorites by her - and it shows that prior to her and Mariah's falling out, she was definitely influenced by her - watch the hand movements - and her use of falsetto at the end of the song 3:22ish SCREAMS Mariah.

Christina Aguilera going 'Burlesque'

Diva makes screen debut in Screen Gems pic
By MICHAEL FLEMING
Christina Aguilera will make her screen debut for Screen Gems in "Burlesque," a contemporary musical that Steven Antin will direct. Antin wrote a script that was revised by "Erin Brockovich" scribe Susannah Grant.
Aguilera will play an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club that appears to be right out of Bob Fosse's "Cabaret."
Donald De Line will produce. Pic will shoot late this year.
While Aguilera has won four Grammy Awards, a Latin Grammy and has sold more than 25 million albums, she has never starred in a film, though she lent her voice to the animated "Shark Tale."
"I couldn't be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind," Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper said.
Deal comes on the heels of Screen Gems benefiting from the star power of another songstress, Beyonce Knowles, who toplined thriller hit "Obsessed."

is it the same source that said the movie has Cher in it which was obviously some misinformed person.

I think there is still hope for a Christina album in 09. Crossing fingers.
