Wow...very impressive. I think she overdoes it just a bit towards the end, but great job!
She sounds like a foghorn

True but enough about Christina. What about the girl in the clip?

Thumbs down.Sounds like a "gay" classic in the making though. lol

My thoughts too and it reeks of Straight To DVD. I'm sure Cher will bring some quality edge to it but it looks very camp and not in the amazing way that Moulin Rouge immediatly lit up the screen.

She had a new song out last week??

Lift Me Up from the Haiti benefit. In comparison, Jay-Z/Bono's song sold 131k, and Justin Timberlake's sold 64k. Even Sheryl Crow outsold Christina.

And people scoffed when some of us were saying she's currently close to being irrelevant in the industry. Her GH numbers and those new song figures only support the opinion.

Goldfrapp about Christina Aguilera

William: We did a week of writing. She kind of put some lyrics to what we were doing, or added some

Alison: [Chortles.] Careful what you say

W: We just left it with her. We had a nice time and she seemed like a very focused person and singer.

A: Dunno what's happening to the song though. We wrote one track and we never finished it because we weren't there long enough.

You don't usually write for others

A: No and that's partly why we did it. We just thought we'd try it out to see what it feels like.

Did you research her beforehand?

A: No.

W: I did, but I quickly stopped.
I thought, "OK, but she doesn't have to be like that with us, does she? I thought she did a couple of really great songs. She's an amazing dancer, too.

A: In a way, I thought it was good to have no preconceptions, especially because she wanted to get away from what was expected of her, the sort of R&B vocal acrobatics.

And she had that performance where some critics thought she copied Lady Gaga, but it was also quite Goldfrapp

Yeah, well you know - bleachy hair, white, straighten it, put on some big shoes. It looks slightly futuristic and it's quite easy really.

Goldfrapp On Working With Christina:

Beyond the sessions for Head First, the duo had spent a week in Los Angeles in 2009, blessing pop superstar Christina Aguilera with some retro-futuristic sounds for her upcoming, electro-heavy fourth album Bionic. Although whether the track will be included is anybody’s guess.

“We don’t know what’s happening with it,” says Goldfrapp. “We don’t know whether she’s having an album out and we don’t know if the track’s on the album. We know nothing.” “She was very sweet. Very professional, really on… She knew exactly what she wanted. She was really articulate about what she was trying to do. Just seemed really in control,” adds Gregory. “We got the track to a certain point. But we haven’t heard anything since. It kind of needs finishing.”

LOL. It's nice to have confirmed what we already knew, that STDina is just another Avril/Beyonce-type "writer".

Where does it say that, though?

I can picture Alison kicking him under the table, before they get a call from Christina's management!

"I did, but I quickly stopped. I thought, "OK, but she doesn't have to be like that with us, does she?"

Translation: She screams all the way through everything, and I know she will do it again, but it's a waste of our song

Talk about selective quoting.

The irony is, they'll be biting their tongue and still came out with a couple of digs.  Probably another case of a famous person meeting Christina and not liking her.

Wow. It's no wonder music elitists don't consider artists who don't write solely by themselves actual song writers.

I might still pick it up if it's deeply discounted at another retailer. Does this include her music videos?

^The Deluxe edition does. I found it used for like $2.99 or something, so I got it.
