It reminded me of I'm Okay from Stripped, quite haunting in places. She was a lot more restrained than she's been for years. Whether that was because of the event or just a new method of vocal delivery she's working with, is hard to say. It sounded a hell of a lot better than she normally does either way.

This was actually quite pleasant to listen, and I havent said that about Christina in years.

The song was quite lovely and she started off nicely, but then she started screaming and straining without any melodic sense, as usual. That series of airy notes she did were also terribly off-key at times. All in all, good song, bad vocal.

THIS. Her voice has deteriorated as well. I don't know if we'll ever see another shout like her 'It's A Man's World' performance at the Grammys

I think Christina is thinking she sounds like Mary J. Blige or something with her recent singing, but the big difference between the two is that Mary has some warmth to her voice, whereas Christina's voice is cold and clinical, like Celine Dion's. Which is why she needs to start singing 'clean' again, like Celine does.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. EW has officially lost it.

The world seems to be ready for Xtina! Can't wait for the new album!

The song is nice and I like that she's finally restraining a bit (aside from the end where she couldnt help herself). Her voice is still really empty though, I don't hear any connection to the music, but it's an improvement for her anyway.  I take it this isn't her new single though?

That other snippet was awful - crappy Single Ladies ripoff.

Christina said not to long ago that her vocals are going to be understated on this album.

LOL that was exactly what I thought - honestly I would listen to this again, and stop before those notes.  Everything after there was difficult to listen to.

i'm like literally rolling around like Patti Labelle myself watching some of you try NOT to be vile haters. You want to sooo bad... even you guys have to pull your teeth out and give at least the song a compliment. Go ahead HATERS - pick apart the vocal -- I knew you would - your knowledge and ability to be conversant on the matters of vocals are forever mired in jealousy, hypocrisy, and delusion. LOL. iTs so funny.

i said u'd all be gagging - and i was right.

^ I loved the vocals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If she hadn't gone all the way, like she did, she wouldn't have blown everyone away.
