Never really liked this song all that much.. but I'm really loving it recently. I think the vocals actually work really well in the song and end ad libs/belts sound amazing. It's got a really chilled out club vibe. Anyone else feel the same?

Never understood the hate for To the Floor and Say Somethin.

When these tracks first leaked I knew Mariah was back and thought that TEOM would be something special. I really can't imagine Mimi without the Neptune tracks and wish she'd work with them again.

Honestly I thought her career was probably never going to be revived when these two came out. It wasn't until 'ILT' and 'WBT' emerged that I knew she was back. 'TTF' and 'SS' seemed like an extension of 'CB' with the mumbly vocals and cheap production.

i'll give u mumbly vocals but the only thing that was cheap was the quality of the mp3's when they leaked.

neptunes tracks are anything but cheap.

Its weird cuz its hard for me to say I knew what the moment was when I realised she would be "back" because I'm so biased. When CB lyrics came out - I was sure she would have a hit with Clown so... my perception of any of her songs is that they are all huge "hits in my head".

I was so excited when Say Something leaked on Nov 20 2004 and then TTF came a week later. I loved the songs then and love them now.

I thought 'SS' was a nice enough track, but it was nowhere near catchy enough to be a hit. A fact that was proven when, even having come off 3 hit singles, it still flopped hard.

true that -- but its still one of my favorite songs from her. Its so different. One of her more experimental and out of Mariah comfort zone songs

It's always been a skip for me... there was a time my interest on TEOM was revived and I would listen to this, but know I don't anymore. I prefer SS over this.

Used to generally skip it as well, though lately as I've started to listen to TEOM a lot more again, now that E=MC2 fever has died down for me, I've found TTF is a refreshing respite from the pretty intense vocals from the songs preceding it. I do find myself actually enjoying this song now, whereas in the past it was a bit blah.

And I never get the SS hate either. Again, since TEOM is a vocal powerhouse of an album, it feels nice to slow things down a bit and just take it easy on the belting. It fits so well between MA and STN.

I think When I Feel It should have replaced Joyride as was originally planned.

Completely agree about the refreshing respite part. TEOM would not have worked if every track had wild yelling / belting vocals. These songs were much needed on the album and completely refreshing. Like MAriah contitunally says you don't need belting on every song!

I would understand the hate for the whispering if she did it on every track on TEOM, but really she only really whispers in SS; TTF, OAO and the beginning of FLAB.

And it is really welcome in my opinion.
