Because she's had more singles and charted more singles than MAriah did. It also includeds charts such as Dance/club etc.,etc.etc...so she's there for that reason.

Mariah only has more number 1's then any female artist or solo act. Not more charted singles etc.etc.,etc.

Also at The Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Year (2000-2007) ''We Belong Together'' appears as the #1 song of 2005.

At Songs With the Most Weeks at No. 1 Mariah Carey is at #1 and #2 with ''One Sweet Day'' and ''We Belong Together

At Hot 100 No. 1 Songs from the First 50 Years Mariah appears 18 times withe all her 18 #1 singles.

At Most No. 1s By Artist (All-Time) Mariah appears at #2 behind ''The Beatles'' with 18 #1 singles.
