Thanks for the file though.

with all due respect, shut up! if you are not convinced yet that the album is great, u will with time! the only problem is that this album misses the "flow", the track-listing is messed up imo (not saying i could come up with something better). but otherwise i bet u that this could be some of other people's favorite album by MC ever! this album is quality, just not in the same way we're used to, this album shows artistic growth!

the album is fabulous, probably my 2nd fave ever from her, but i agree with him on the release of 'byebye' as the 2nd single and on the utter shiticality of the remix...... i pray that 'se' or something a little less obvious will get released next.......

i understand that too, but i doubt mariah even likes any of those lame TMB remixes anyway. shes gotta pretend like she does, its her job. but im sure she knows they could be 1000x better with a new melody or vocals or whatever. but shes gotta do what the boss tellz her to do really. i dont think shes quite as free on IDJ as some believe. I think she is still told, or at least persuraded, what to do and what to release.

plz. u think she enjoyed doing TTR and BOTH? u think she really wanted to work with Stargate? we know she wasnt crazy over Say Somethin... and probably it being released a single. im not saying she doesnt have more control than shes ever had, but she's not super woman in charge of her whole career. and shes certainly not above LA Reid in the final decision making.

If y'all were in Mariah's position you would ALL want to beat the Beatles record and don't say otherwise, geez, Mariah finally caters to you guys with E=MC2 everything y'all were complaining about with TEOM, and you're STILL not pleased? @%%%+, please!.

We all were waiting for a track like Migrate

Side Effects is a personal and rare track

OOC Bollywood type style...

I wish you well is another example

For the Record is different from any Mimi track, the way she used the titles of all the previous efforts

I won't go any further. I just don't think we should label songs as not quality just because they are single worthy.

Alicia can use a piano in every track and SCREAM NO ONE(over and over) and people are like oh my gosh this is so GREAT QUALITY

Your last sentence is so true.image

image OMFG so true....Plus she sounds like she has been a smoker for years.....*oooh oh oh oh oh oooo hohohohohoh* my god....people like alicia is so over rated it makes me sick,

I AGREE 10000%%%%%%% *APPLAUDS*

this album has been the best QUALITY in a very very long time......

Daydream 2 to me and thats hard to beat!!! she did wonders with this album

If Mariah had a piano on her album cover I'm sure people wouldn't be complaining and she'd win 1000000 Grammys LOL.

well i love this album. i think the marketing choices have been flawless. and if this is mariah choosing quantity over quality then i say bring it on.

Mariah does get her way and is in control, i.e. TMB, it is a little known fact LA Reid wanted TC to be the lead single but Mariah wanted TMB, who won at the end? Mariah. It's the same thing with SS and ILT.

dont "lol just lol" me, u rat. its true. she even said in an interview that "LA wanted me to work with Stargate". TTR was done for damage control, im sure she wasnt thrilled to be singing it. She's said numerous times in interviews that she Say Somethin was "more Pharell's thing".

LOL Danny I know what you're saying with CB, it was a damage control album and totally fake in terms of music and image, completely safe. However Mariah said herself with TEOM she got a more control, and with E=MC2 she even got more control. You can totally hear it in the music too, on E=MC2 each songs sounds what Mariah WANTS to sing, apposed to what she is FORCED to sing.

yes i know, E=MC is the most real Mariah (personality wise) has been on record. Im not arguing that it isnt. What im saying is, there have got to be times where she doesn't get her way, or that a final decision is made by IDJ, or LA Reid. Like those facts I listed above with Stargate, Say Somethin, etc. and im sure there are plenty more.

This is Mariah's best album in ten years. Songs like Side Effects, Migrate, I'll Be Loving You Long Time, and I'm That Chick are all excellent songs that sound different from what she has done before. There are also many other cuts on the album that are very good, including Cruise Control, I Stay In Love, For the Record, and OOC.

So overall, I don't see how Mariah emphasized quantity over quality this time around. I think it's the single choices that are boring and predictable- the label has played it safe with Touch My Body and Bye Bye while a gem like Side Effects may never get released. Mariah's got the right material on the album, but it's just not being released.

well i don't necessarily love bye bye but it isn't a bad song. it just isn't the best song on the album nor is the in the top 5. so it is a little baffling why it is released second. that said i think the quality is definitely up there. i think we all want everyone to love mariah as much as we do so thats why people complain about single choices. when really if you don't like the second single then don't listen to it. honestly you already bought the album so they may not even be marketing to you at this point. i don't know if you can have another WBT in terms of reaching everyone. however i do think love story would be a great single (not 3rd) and could be the one that connects with a young and older audience. the quality tracks are there for sure though from migrate, cruise control, side effects, that chick, IBLYLT, i stay in love and others.

on the topic of remixes i think we got a little spoiled. i would love mariah to do some remixes for this album as well. some of her remixes are some of her more memorable and critically acclaimed songs. i actually thought that may be what took the recording process so long. but i think its hard to do remixes when you don't know what single you're putting out. she is still the queen of remixes and maybe we will get some good ones this era after all. i wish all of the artists incorporated remixes into their recording process for their albums.

I love the new CD ... yes I do. My only concern is that it doesn't have the 6 million selling song ... a We Belong Together. WBT made Mimi what it was. I am afraid that EMC, just doesn't have something comprable. Bye Bye definitely isn't the track ... maybe Love Story. I don't know.
