Daydream is better vocally, lyrically etc. They just DON'T compare. Honestly I love E=MC2 but I don't know if it'll stand the test of time like Daydream and Butterfly or if it'll be another TEOM.

^ of course 'daydream' is better vocally, along with 'mc' it's her best, but i don't know how much better it is lyrically.........

I think E=MC has fantastic lyrics, especially on songs like Side Effects, For the record etc however on Daydream each song brings a fantastic lyric, especially Looking In, Underneath the stars, Long Ago etc even on the uptempos fun songs Mariah manages such great lyrics, imo it's her second best album lyrically after Butterfly, with CB coming in third.

i do love the lyrics on dd i think it's almost on par with bf and cb, but i think these are pretty good for where she's at now, it's obvious she wanted an album full of single material and i think e delivers in that respect. 'daydream' did not have this many potential singles.......

You're right E=MC is a great effort for what she wanted to achieve (a fun album) and she still managed to write some really personal lyrics which were missing on TEOM, it's definitely an improvement lyrically though it isn't groundbreaking like Bfly, DD. But for what she wanted to achieve it's great.

here we go againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

let's compare 1995 to 2008 and see what we come up with. I've said it before and I'll say it again, do you where the same clothes as you did in 1995? Well music is not the same either, and so comparing the two is rediculous.

Thanks for listening, have a nice day.
