Of course. It was some tiny arse theatre for a Christmas concert that realistically hardcore fans or hardcore haters would given any attention to. A whole different scale to a nationally syndicated TV show watched by millions of Americans every day. You'd reach a lot more people to be won over.

Mariah's stock as a live performer was very low even before the AIWFCIY fiasco.  If anything, I would have Mariah go on Fallon in April or so and do a skit like they did a couple years ago.  It could be epic to turn her hits into what they did for AIWFCIY.

This is the kind of approach she needs. People forget, concerts get limited and focused press attention, mainly around launch in each territory and then fall off the radar. Blogs and papers aren't going to flood their sites/pages with a story on each show every second day. They are a one night stand affair. Getting her on a massive, wide reaching TV show for the masses will be a million times more effective than her doing great on the 7th show or whatever of a concert. The latter has limited reach and attention.
