It just seemed like there was just too much of a huge gap between WY and AYNAF and with 2 powerful ballads back to back like that as 3rd and 4th singles might have been too much. I know they were released 18 weeks apart, but it seemed like it was much longer than that. I'm glad they released AYNAF, but looking back on it, Tommy should have made sure she had 2 not 1 surefire uptempo hits on MB. NTIK was not a hit single so it was understandable why they didn't release that.
Most of her focus was on finishing up the Merry Christmas album. And I'm sure the label had moved on also after the huge hit WY. AYNAF was probably released because Mariah wanted it as the 4th single so Tommy obliged. I'm surprised Tommy didn't make her release AIEW, but even that after WY would have been way too much to take.
