When I watched her perform Triumphant on TV yesterday, only one thought went through my mind. It wasn't "OMG she's lipping" or "the sound's awful" or "wow this song doesn't translate to a live performance." It was, "Damn. Mariah is completely out of touch." Between the song itself (which, don't get me wrong, I think is a great Rick Ross/Meek Mill song that I listen to all the time), her stage presence (which is way too stiff and stale and the same tired dancers doing the same tired dance routines while she stands in a skin tight dress and lips), and the overall presentation of her material (i.e., her consistently recording songs that are way too high for her ever replicate live in a manner that would WOW an audience - which is what she needs right now to cement any sort of comeback), she's just out of touch. As a tried-and-true fan for the last 18 years, I know not to count Mariah out AT ALL and I have full faith that she could release a song that would SLAY and revamp her image...

All I know is that this song won't do it. She needs to regroup.
I love the DIVA'ness..i live for it! smiley: laugh
I love everything even the tacky moments
As long as she just SINGS..I felt Morocco was sort of a step in the right direction
She really needs to SING at this stage of her career to maintain or even REVIVE interest
People truly expect her to be an exceptional singer. If you decide to mime, at least get the sound folks to ensure embarrassing moments are avoided.

I hope in this era...the VOICE gets 70% focus and the other 30% goes into the rest
Its what the world fell in love with in the first place.
Correct me if I'm wrong..
