Wait, who said anything about Mariah at 29 and her Rainbow days? TEOM and Memoirs were only 3 years apart.. But you're right, after all those flop singles from E, Obsessed did pretty good (including for Mariah's standards) and most could only dream of hitting #7. But with TMB, I do think Dream definitely had the advantage of TEOM being such a big success and Mariah herself being still very popular. Her name alone would sell.
