I just don't see Adele trying to snatch wigs for the next 10 years. She screams novelty to me. Most of the talented ones are. They have a hard time living up to their big moment. Look at Lauryn, Alanis, Norah, etc.I don't quite agree, Alanis and Lauryn kind of ruined it themselves, Alanis by releasing crappy material and Lauryn by not releasing anything at all. It wasn't that they released some amazing follow-up that still didn't sell. And as for Norah, she was more or less a Susan Boyle-type artist that appealed only to older folks, so I don't think she's comparable either. Anyway, it all comes down to Adele's next album being up to par, if it is I'm sure she'll have a long career. Unlike Gaga where we see the novelty wearing off already. It's really tricky because I wonder how many young people in comparison to older people are actually BUYING Adele's album. Luckily, she will probably stay with the adult sound and can hold on to her audience. It may not be as big as "21" next go around, but probably will sell. I just find that a lot of these artists that aren't fame wh0res tend to take forever to release albums and can't hold on to their momentum.21 is the biggest-selling digital abum of all-time, so obviously teens are buying her album as well.Well said.
