This performance really highlights what a poor song ISIL is. The only good thing about this performance is the way she looks, that dress is perfect and her hair and make-up looks very #1's era.
True on all points - and I actually quite like ISIL but this performance highlights its weaknesses and why a lot of the E=MC2 material didn't work live. She just couldn't deliver anything at all live from what she had laid down in the studio, her vocals were really so fragile and off.
Not a good performance at all.
Actually, I don't think the vocal on ISIL works period and it's because the song is poorly written. The melody isn't very strong (the chorus doesn't really stand out from the verses) and she crammed too many words into each line so it's hard to understand what she's saying. The fast-singing really got out of hand on 'E'.
