^ I'd argue that ABMB is more remembered than VOL. It gets more recurrent airplay, it's one of her most played old songs in fact, and it's her only song currently in the iTunes Top 1000. Fantasy, VOL and ABMB should all have been on the list, and probably AIWFCIY too seeing as it's the only Christmas classic of the last 20+ years. It's obviously a sign of bias that Madonna has three songs on the list when she was pretty much a hasbeen for most of the 90s, and Mariah ruled that decade.
She also arguably made her best music in the 90s, and isn't the list based on their opinion, not charts/sales? It would be nice if Mariah was included more but I don't see how anyone can be surprised- she's often ignored on these critics' countdowns.

Yeah but come on, Secret?? That's really pushing it. And over songs like VOL, ABMB, AIWFCIY? I don't think so.
I love 'Secret', but I see your point, it is silly that those songs were ignored. Still, at least Mariah got an entry while Whitney, Celine, and MJB got none haha.

Yeah, Secret actually seems to be well regarded by critics in general.  I just never saw the appeal in the song personally -- I liked a lot of the other singles off the album and the album in general is very good -- the closest thing to a genuine R&B album that Madonna has done.  Wasn't ''Take A Bow'' actually Madonna's longest running #1 up to that point (and perhaps even now?)  That always seemed so weird to me, since it's such an un-Madonna like song.  Great song though, surprised it's not in the place of Secret.

That song (and album) is proof of the power of Babyface in the mid 1990s that's for sure.

Yeah, ABMB should have probably made this list.

Some of the Top 20 seem way off to me -- ''No Diggity'' was pretty big, but basically a throwaway song.  How that's on there, but not "I Will Always Love You" makes no sense.  Bittersweet Symphony also seems  way, way too high.  The top 3 are pretty good though.

And I so called California Love and Nuthin But A G Thang smiley: tonguesmiley: tongue  Surprised both made it on there though.
