^ I'd argue that ABMB is more remembered than VOL. It gets more recurrent airplay, it's one of her most played old songs in fact, and it's her only song currently in the iTunes Top 1000. Fantasy, VOL and ABMB should all have been on the list, and probably AIWFCIY too seeing as it's the only Christmas classic of the last 20+ years. It's obviously a sign of bias that Madonna has three songs on the list when she was pretty much a hasbeen for most of the 90s, and Mariah ruled that decade.
She also arguably made her best music in the 90s, and isn't the list based on their opinion, not charts/sales? It would be nice if Mariah was included more but I don't see how anyone can be surprised- she's often ignored on these critics' countdowns.
Yeah but come on, Secret?? That's really pushing it. And over songs like VOL, ABMB, AIWFCIY? I don't think so.
I love 'Secret', but I see your point, it is silly that those songs were ignored. Still, at least Mariah got an entry while Whitney, Celine, and MJB got none haha.
