i still agree being on time is a respect
but some countries (like mine), people may sometimes taking time a little bit too seriously. We cannot tolerate a 30 secs late evaluator, 2 minutes late bus, complain food too slow to serve, hotel forcing guests to move out exactly on time...the whole city is running competition and proud of being early, fast and time efficient....honestly i am kinda annoyed by that , at the same time complaining my food delivery too slow to come

relax Nike

I don't think we should be anal, or overly pedantic about it. I just feel that we should be mindful of proper etiquette from time-to-time; especially in a professional setting.
When you meet your friends and people that you trust, the mood is obviously more relaxed and informal, so it's not really a big issue.
