Not Everyone is trying to be Lady Gaga

Opinion

I am so broken down by all the Lady Gaga fanatics comparing every move other female artist makes to Lady Gaga. This is certainly not to take anything away from the extremely brilliant direction Gaga has behind her image, but its to the point of near insanity the comparisons.

I get that its human nature to always try to relate things to something we know. And truth is you think outrageous fashion at this moment with a popstar, you think Lady Gaga. But are we so small minded that we stop there as if Gaga is the only person who has the right to wear underwear as an outfit?

I personally think Grace Jones or Róisín Murphy, but I still love the FAME.

When I saw hiphop star Nikki Minja wearing smoke shades in her new video for Massive attack , my first reaction - what is she doing with the Gaga's Telephone shades - so I am not immune to this epidemic.

In the blog world, every Christina Aguilera story is plagued with Gaga comparisons. Oh that is Gaga's latex suit. Does Gaga own the patent to a latex pencil skirt and pushup bra? And shouldn't we point to the stylists when stars wear matching looks. Is Aguilera doing her own styling now? And as Aguilera's video has the same director as Gaga's Telephone shouldn't we slam the director for not being creative. There is enough room for both of these girls to dominate the charts. Media powerhouse Perez Hilton makes no qualms about his love for Gaga (she gives it back) and has resorted to calling pop star Christina Aguilera "Clonetina" - which is ludicrous.

Hilton resorted to posting a picture comparison , so wild... Aguilera has big curly hair - she is copying Gaga...

Moulin Rouge anyone...

While Gaga was still Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta , Aguilera had videos like Fighter with all the outrageous fashion and crazy make up. I like Xtina Dirrty and 'Not Myself Tonight' her new single brings back Xtina. I love that Christina doesn't play. Its straight to the bed for real action. No before then after. Just in your face sex.
In an interview with Atlanta radio station Q100, Christina responded to the comparisons: “It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on.

“I’ve been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself.”

Another artist receiving major hate is Kelis. Who from the start of her career embraced the fashion and art in her performances. Kelis is now slammed as a Lady Gaga copycat.

But the reality is that with all the Gaga fanaticism her last single failed to hit number 1 here in the US on the billboard hot 100. (that was catty)
Listen Walter melon, Why don't you JUST go rejoicing your Floptina love on boards where they actually do appreciate clowns, and get the f*ck away from this board, you never even post on the Mariah sections, and the rare comment you do make are hating and shady.

so rude............but uh......NO!
