OF course it did. People only bought her single, and not that horrible unlistenable album. It's the same thing with Rihanna. The single (at least Rihanna
had more than one LMAO!) blows up 'cause it's easier to spend 99cents instead of $10.00 - in the end, Madonna lost in the US.
So what'd she do? Grabbed Timbaland and JT, because she knows she's not relevant in the US on radio. If it wasn't for her fanbase buying the
singles (the same crazed fans that spend $300 - $2,000 to see this woman on tour) her songs wouldn't even chart.
Madonna is not relevant. M. Dolla? Girl boo!
But people did buy her album. It sold 2 million copies in the US alone which was a hell of a lot more than many big radio artists were selling at the
time.
