if Mariah can come up #1 against Justin and Timbaland, I'll be impressed.
imo mariah isn't really "fighting" against madonna... but more so against justin and timbaland. this song would be nowhere
without him.
Lol...sad but true... I wonder how Madonna would do if she released The Beat Goes On as the first single... but time will tell. I hope Mariah
can get to #1 this next week. I fear Justin and timba will grow really fast.
Well, "4 Minutes" has been stagnant around 24-25 million AI on Mediabase for 3 days now, and it's almost been 2 weeks. I think
radio stations jumped on it "at-first-hype" as they did with "Touch My Body". The difference is either many haven't jumped the
bandwagon and/or was let down by the track and is already beginning to pull back. But who knows what will happen--strange things have happened. We'll
see. And keep in mind that "Hung Up" did well digitally, and we all know what happened to that song, the following tracks, and the album in general
here in the US
Madonna's airplay is not gonna be as huge to start because she's pretty much limited to pop radio. Mariah had Pop, Urban, Urban AC and Rhy radio
playing TMB out the gate. Madonna's bullet at pop is still over 2000+ and she's almost top 20. Madonna will get some Rhy airplay, but she's new to
that format, so they are gonna be a little hesitant to begin with.
