I don't think you could say TEOM is "dated" at all. Aside from some of the upbeat stuff (e.g. TTF) that could sound that, the songs were
actually created with a retro-classic-yet-new feel that makes them sound timeless, really. Anyway, the issue with MB is really not that it's dated (really,
you could only say that about the 2 C&C contributions) as that type of ballad (i.e. Hero), even if it's not what radio is into right now, tends to far
outlive some of the songs most consider less "cheesy/schmaltzy".
